TWPC founder Bennett Yang & Vera Li
On February 24, 2012, the Taiwan Prezi Community (TWPC) hosted the first Prezi Night in Taipei.
The event took place on the campus of National Taiwan Normal University, and featured seven different speakers who gave 10-minute prezi talks. Over 100 people attended. The topics varied from creativity, web 2.0 to interculture. The audience enjoyed the night with inspiring prezi talks, having a dialogue with speakers, and receiving a small but special gift, a “Prezi” button.
TWPC kicked off “Prezi Night Taipei” off with the greeting video of Peter Arvai, CEO of Prezi. Then, seven invited speakers gave their short prezi talks one after another. Ideas and insights were shared and spread.
Following the presentations was a Q&A session. Lots of people showed their interests in learning Prezi on their next presentation. They asked for more information about differences between Prezi and PowerPoint, how to design a better layout on the canvas, how to combine/merge two prezi into one, etc. The event ended with Bennett giving a brief introduction of TWPC to the audience and inviting them to join the team in order to make greater influence.
TWPC was established by Bennett Yang in March of 2011. It aims to have all “presenters” use Prezi to present their ideas and create interesting and attractive presentations or talks. TWPC’s goals for 2012 are to publish one Prezi book, host three Prezi Night event in three Taiwan major cities (Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung), and have six Prezi Meetings.
An extra special thanks to everyone who came out for the event, and to Bennett Yang and TWPC for making it possible.
