這個年頭,如果你沒有聽過蘋果電腦的首腦史帝夫‧賈伯斯(Steve Jobs),至少你一定聽過iPhone, iPod, iPad等i字輩的風雲產品。好像產品只要掛上i就是熱賣的保證。前陣子iPhone
4才在台灣上市,看到大家搶購的熱潮真是不輸當年的Wii。不禁納悶,是什麼的公司,什麼樣的企業文化擁有帶動這鼓世界風潮的能力。它創新的秘訣是什麼?
Carmine Gallo在他新書The
Innovation Secrets of Steve Jobs(出版社McGraw
Hill,2010/10/11出版)嘗試回答這個問題。這本書應該是延伸他上一本的暢銷書The
Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs(台灣翻譯為「大家來看賈伯斯:向蘋果的表演大師學簡報」)。(只怪賈伯斯太紅了,大家都想消費他。連他回給大學生的E-mail與去日本買忍者飛鏢,都可以上國際新聞。)
蘋果的企業精神是”Think Different”。有趣的是,IBM的精神是”Think”。兩者有較勁的味道,也可以知道思考的重要,不論是對企業或個人。巧合的是最近在網路上看到一篇有趣的文章(Personal
innovation: We need to stop and think)也談論到思考。作者提到碰到一個問題,我們第一個想到的是上Google找答案。方便,卻無法產生創意的解答,因為沒有經過創意的思考。所以他鼓勵我們要先停下來思考,而不是尋找慣例。

長久以來,我一直在尋找、試驗、發明如何讓簡報更有創意與說服力的方法或工具。是否有一種配方能夠讓簡報與創意完美地給合,這是我給自己的功課,也是我熱情所在。我好像一位廚師(像Jamie
Oliver?)在創造一道道創新的菜餚。我發現Mind
Mapping、Brainstorming、IDEO
Method Card等等都是很好的輔助工具,讓簡報能夠脫離傳統的束縛。也許這本書也能夠提供一些創新的養份。
簡報的內容、簡報的架構、投影片的設計、表達的方式等過程中,需要注入更多的創意,產生無比的驚豔效果。所以要先吸引聽眾的目光,再說服;沒有目光那來說服。如此看來,簡報不就是吸引力的戰場。
